The bay fishing has been on fire the past few days. Babu Charters has been catching about 50 fish on both the morning and afternoon trips. Fluke are the most caught, but there are also a lot of small seabass, kingfish, sea robin, blues, porgy, skates, rays, and sand sharks. The ocean fishing has been much slower, and the rough seas have restricted our ability to get out.

The larger fluke are starting to move out into the ocean, and the larger seabass are moving even further offshore. There are some reports of Bluefin tuna on the ridges. I think the tropics will start to heat up soon and could results in building seas off New Jersey even if the storms are thousands of miles away. I expect the inshore shark fishing for Black Tip and Atlantic Sharp Nose shark to start soon. The Mahi-Mahi fishing should improve.as well.

CJ, Connor, and Carter fished with Babu Charters today. Plenty of fish were caught including fluke, sea bass, sea robin, and sand shark, but none were big enough to bring home for dinner.

A group from Walmart fished with Babu Charters this morning. Over 20 fish were caught, mostly fluke with sand shark and sea robin also in the mix along with a cow nose ray that broke off. It was a beautiful morning to be on the bay. One of the fluke was 21" and came home for Drew's dinner.

Babu Charters tried fishing Tuesday and Wednesday, but it was slow with water temps as low as 56. We did catch a half dozen on every trip but none for dinner. The temps were warmer today and the fish were chewing. We caught a mix of fluke, sand shark, and sea robin about 32 fish total. The Bentson group had a fun trip. The weather has cancelled tomorrow's trip. The Riptide B&T gulp, spearing, and squid are working.
