Make sure you know what fish you are going for will be in the area. These captains know the migrations and if you want strippers in mid August - don’t waste your time / money. If you are just looking to have some fun with blues - this is the trip.

Wear fishing overalls and snow boots. Hooks are tricky so bring gloves/first aid kit. The fish/bait remnants flew everywhere. In preparation, avoid eating fried, heavy foods, alcohol. Sleep early the day before.
