Fresh Sand Springs Fishing Reports

The blues are feeding hard and in shallow water! So much fun catching them this time of year.

The shallow water, Blue catfish bite is going great right now. The winter cold killed a lot of shad so fishing has been tough since that last long cold spell. The water temps are on the rise and the blue cats have been biting very well in shallow water. The water temps tend to be a little higher and all of the shad that had died have now either been carried downstream by yhe cutrent, disintegrate or has been eaten. Now the cats are looking for food since that source is gone. Come join me for an action packed day on one of my two boats and lets catch some of these great fighting, big blue cats. Maybe even take some smaller ones home for dinner! It’s definitely the big fish time of year. Lets go!!

Another great day on Keystone. We were after catgish today and found plenty for my clients to have a great time and big fish fry.

Today we were on Keystone and our target species was Spoonbill paddlefish. We found a few good schools but mostly smaller gish so we made a move across the lake and found bigger schools of even bugger fish! The biggest for the day was 80 pounds and she was released to fight another day. I had 7 clients aboard and 4 of them wanted to keep a fish. Was a good day with smiles and frozen fingers all around.

Amazing fishing going on right now!! Everything is chowing down and getting fat gor the cold months ahead.

Went out Wednesday on a crappie trip and put some nice big ones in the boat and had a bonus Striper! What fun on a 10’ Huckabee crappie rod and light line! I watched him come in on my Lowrance Active Target, very neat!! We also played around with the spoonbill, they were stacked up on the north banks.
