Fresh Burnet Fishing Reports

Fished a very fun morning 4 hour trip with Bryce, Mike, and John. We were in em right away and had 1–3 hanging the entire time until about 10am and it backed off for about 30 mins and we slowly picked away. And right at the end of the trip it went wide open and every bait that hit the water was bit ! We managed 60+ mixed Largemouth, slab crappie, and some really nice grade white bass! We caught a bunch, released a bunch, and took some home for some fish tacos. Fishing is on fire guys, don’t wait to book!

Heres a photo of our top 4 bass of the afternoon, we fished for about 4 hours and caught about 15 nice sized largemouth for the 2 of us ! The bite really started to pick up right when the sun was going down and we were able to put some nice quality bass in the livewell to be released, If you are looking on getting out and having a great time on the water look no futher !

Took terry and his son olsin out on an afternoon trip in very windy conditions on lake georgetown, we have pretty steady action for fhe first half but the bite tapered off, we ran shallow and caught a couple largemouth, the final hour we ran back out deep and fishing got really good right before the sun went down! We caught 40 mixed largemouth, crappie, and whitebass ! Really fun fishing with terry and olsin !

This is from last weeks afternoon trip, we caught over 20 largemouth and guadalupe bass for the 2 of us and a big striped bass to boot ! This was all done on an afternoon 4 hour trip.

While most think of spring and summer to be primetime fishing conditions, the winter can be as good if not better ! The fish migrate off the banks and stack up in deeper water making them very predictable and sometimes very easy to catch ! Jigging spoons, live shad, and blade baits as shown in the picture work excellent around these deepwater schools that are feeding on bait, A lot of times the entire boat is hooked up all at once! We have had great success fishing out deep with jigging spoons and live bait at lake georgetown, this afternoon was no different and we managed 50+ mixed largemouth, crappie, and whitebass in the matter of a few hours for the 2 of us ! Fishing in the winter can be some of the best of the whole year !
