Lucky Bird Charter Services
research what captain, crew, and boat. I didn't know what to expect, so I went with a charter with a larger boat. It was a great experience. Knowing more now I would not necessarily look for the largest boats.

Since it was our first experience, we booked from 12pm -5pm, but the crew explained us this is not the best hours for fishing, what it helped for out 9 fish was that there were some showers/ raining. Best hours for fishing is very early in the morning.

PrimeTime Sport Fishing
August is a great time to visit Sheboygan and fish Lake Michigan. My wife and I enjoyed playing golf and eating at the various restaurants. The harbor area is very nice.

Obviously, remember that weather is a factor that God alone can control! It can complicated even the best laid plans. But, it pays to be flexible, and in the end, even a short time in the best times of the day (early morning or late evening) can be as productive as fishing long hours in off times or rough conditions.

Just have a good time and don’t get drunk on the boat as Captain Ryan sure does not like that. Of course we did not but he told us stories about some others that did.

We caught five King Salmon well over 10 lbs in the first few hours. Things died down in the afternoon, with no real bites for the second half. There were fish, just not hungry. Fish are going to spawn up the Sheboygan River, so good fishing up near the bay.

Be patient with your catch as these species have softer mouths and trying to force them in too soon will result in pulling the hook set out.

Leave the little kids at home, they would not be able to reel in these fish. Hopefully you'll pick a day with calm waters, we had pretty rough waters, so the fish don't bite often in these conditions. But we did get a few nice salmon.

I would definitely recommend fishing in July. The weather was great, and we caught fish. Even though it sounded like the fishing was a little slow we caught plenty of fish and enjoyed our company with the captain and first mate.
