Leave the little kids at home, they would not be able to reel in these fish. Hopefully you'll pick a day with calm waters, we had pretty rough waters, so the fish don't bite often in these conditions. But we did get a few nice salmon.

Daniel Ball
I would definitely recommend fishing in July. The weather was great, and we caught fish. Even though it sounded like the fishing was a little slow we caught plenty of fish and enjoyed our company with the captain and first mate.

Chad Wasilewski
If you've fished on the ocean and think that a great lake is a piece of cake...the waves roll differently a bit. They can come in multiple directions so you're going to rock and roll a bit more. Take your dramamine.

Braxton Reimer
Early morning Sun Rise was awesome. Can't wait to see that again. The feel of being on the boat and the anticipation of catching fish was worth the expense. We had coho salmon grilled last night and it was so good. The captain will tell you the best ways to cook the fish.

Michael Grimm
Convenient parking, friendly people, fish cleaning facility was perfect and surprisingly inexpensive.
Be ready for temp drop on the water. Pack extra hoodie.
Book with Lucky Bird, they know how to do it

We had a hard time finding reasonably priced lodging for the weekend. Turns out it was high-school graduation across town, which drove up prices and limited availability. We spent more on lodging than the fishing!

Remember to get the correct fishing license to allow for catching Lake Salmon and Trout before you go out. Printed licenses can be obtained at The Wharf bait shop near the piers on the river in sheboygan with a Drivers License and SS#. Also, children under a certain age dont need a license.

The weather was a fluke for us. It was very cold for us, and the water was still cold, and it was windy. But normally the weather should be much better for that time of the year. Surreel fishing charter was very good to work with though, and they made it a great trip.

Find a local Captain who knows the waters. Coho, Rainbows, and even Kings are great options in June. Be prepared to have to adjust based on the weather.

When you go fishing remember it's fishing. Some days are tougher than others. One day you can limit our, the next get nothing. Have fun and enjoy the water.

There are many restaurants near the dock that have a variety to choose from. You can rent scooters and tour around Sheboygan.

The marina was really nice with plenty of parking, our captain and first mate were waiting for us in the parking area and walked us to the boat, at 4:30 in the morning that is very helpful.

Do not hesitate to reach out to the captain before your trip. These guys are super knowledgeable, friendly and are looking to provide a good experience.

100% would recommend the caption and his wife worked hard to get us on the fish and knew exactly where the fish was.

It is called fishing for a reason, but we got very lucky and had 15 fish in the boat in 2.5hrs. Weather was perfect and the lake was calm. Great experience!

Choose an experienced captain familiar with the area who knows where and how to change his tactics to make sure we have every chance to limit out.

Kristin Aeschlimann
