Our experience was excellent; the fishing, I'd say, was good. The time of year was not particularly determinative -- probably the after-effects of Hurricane Erin had more to do with what was biting.

Things begin to slow down around this time, but even if you went a couple weeks earlier then it would be much busier. We still found multiple fish though!
