Talk to the captain and be flexible with the timing if you are able. A trip is made with good weather, which is always suspect on the coast. In and outs of fronts really make the day when the wind lays down the waves.

if its windy and cold and the lake is dirty dont go. if its just cold and water is clear go get on some speckled trout, its a blast. flownder are running in november and the redfishing is usually always good. its a big lake and alot of water to cover so i would get a map of the area or fish with someone that knows the area well.

We left the dock around 6am stopped at hot spot #1 loaded the boat with specks, then went out to play with some bull reds. Fighting the monsters with light tackle is a blast. We caught 4 and had one pop the line at the boat. Couldn't have been a better trip for us. We wanted a trout to take home and have the drag squeal a few times and that's what we got.
