We thought it was amazing. Very hot time of year but Justin advised us brilliantly.
As semi beginners we wanted to just catch something and we were not disappointed. I think was 11 between 2 of us in 2 hours but it felt lile so many to me i lost count.

Listen to the Captain if they say go earlier go earlier. If they give you the option to stop early it’s because they know it is slowing or slowed down to a point that may not be worth it.

Go with a guide our guide AJ fishing was excellent. He knew just where to take us and did not have to drive all over the Lake to catch fish

Let the capt choose his best spot to fish. He is the subject matter expert on the region. I selected a certain lake but he said - this other one would be better. It did not diappoint

Being a smaller boat just a reminder no bathroom and having 3-5 people is ideal. You can bring your own cooler. Definitely wear sun screen! Such a great experience. For larger fish I’d definitely recommend an adult reeling them in. It was so incredible

Just bring a face rag or something to cover your nose because in some areas there are a lot of nats in your face so a face covering definitely helps and maybe some mosquito spray or insect repellant .
