Beautiful area. Lots of skinny water with great opportunities to target various species of fish. The cold snap that took the temperatures down to the 20s for a week definitely hurt us.

Because the continental shelf extends a long ways off of the coast, a longer charter really helps you fish longer because the travel time eats into your fishing time. If you want to go offshore, Id recommend booking the 8 hr trip to make sure you're able to try a few wrecks or locations to find the hungry fish.

An Experienced captain makes all the difference. He had the hot spots picked out and knew what bait to use. This is the only boat we are coming back to.

Bring sunblock maybe motion sickness meds if youre not great on boats. Sunblock, sweatshirt, long sleeve shirt, hat, long pants depending on temps and just in case for bugs if fishing in the summer

My only recommendation for other visitors would be leave a two-day window, so should the weather change unexpectedly, you still have a fallback opportunity to truly enj a memorable experience.

We caught our limit in king mackerel. The week prior the seas were too rough to fish, we caught one of two nice days in a spell of bad weather days. You just have to be aware of which fish are in season and cautious of the weather.

If it for the kids let him know ahead of time. Capt Eric is a pro at game fish so if that’s what you want try to fish longer that 3 hours so you can hit several spots. We didn’t care and said put us on something and we caught tons of stuff and a unique variety as well
