Highly recommend this excursion. The captain and his crew were great. The price for this 4 hour cruise included everything needed to fish and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.

The fishing and our guide were great. weather is hit or miss in March but outside of a pretty windy day, the experience was all we hoped for.

You don’t need to go way out in the sea to have an awesome time on the water. We only did a 3-hr trip, and if it was up to the boys we would have fished all day, but in the short amount of time fishing the backcountry of Key West my teenage son hooked onto a couple lunkers….barricuda and a giant tarpon during tarpon season. I wouldn’t expect the “giants” everytime, but there are plenty of nice sized fish within 10 mins of the island.

if you’re planning on solely catching big game fish, it’s very weather dependent here with the winds, but you can always go inshore for mangrove, snapper and yellowtail

Don't set your heart on a specific species. Pray for calm waters and tight lines. Rely on the expertise of the crew and ask them to do their best to put you on the fish. Even the best crew & equipment can get skunked after working incredibly hard. We enjoyed being on the water and were so grateful to have several catches. I'd love to return for other species - depends on the season.

Bring your reef safe suncreen and get your arms warmed up to reel in the catches of a lifetime. I was out of breathe from the first fish on! I’d also reccomend you get to the boat nice and early! Patience is key!

message the charter prior to booking and ask questions. another charter I messaged didnt really answer my questions. we were worried we'd get an asshole captain. you can get good sense on people based on how they reply.
