Trout are still plentiful around this time, but water is still very warm. Consider peak months like September or October, that will yield in the more big sport fish when they are moving due to cooler water temp.

Be open minded and ready for a great day. We chose the half day because we brought two ten year olds but, I think the full day would also be a great choice. Bring snacks and drinks but the Captain has bottled water and a place to go to the bathroom if you need to.

If you're fishing in August, wear a hat, sunscreen and bring lots of water. A portable fan would even be a good idea. It gets hot hot out on the water.
