Columbia River - Kalama area was great! Make sure you get the best guide like Desmond who has success finding the fish. Lots of fisherman there but we had the most success!

This trip was the best trip i have ever booked. The captain and deck hand we're great people, very personable, friendly, funny and checking to make sure you had everything you needed. The boat was clean and overall in top shape. It was a great trip. This trip was the type of trip you away hope for when booking trips.

When going out on a boat - arrive 10 minutes early. It is best to wear waterproof clothing even on dry days. Use the restroom before heading out.
It is best to thoroughly wash your hands after applying sunscreen, and eating jerky or smoked salmon. The scent is bad.

The fog bank in the PNW can come and go pretty quick, and it can go from a cold foggy day to a warm sunny one . so prepare for sun or drizzle and bring sunscreen and layers.

Make sure you have layers and be prepared to be on the ocean. We had a calm day but could see getting sea sick easily if it is rough. Awesome time though.

SOA Charters - Coos Bay
Absolutely! It is important to remember which dates you are and aren't allowed to keep Chinook and wild Coho though because you may have to release some. Just check the regulations but our Captain knew what we could and couldn't catch of course.
