Double check wirh the Captain. The Fishing Booker is not as accurate as one would expect. Our trip was on the Columbia, which was a happy surprise for me, having grown up on the banks of the river. HOWEVER, I was looking for a trip farther North, resulting in the additional expence of a nights stay atva motel.

Northwest Fishing Charters
If it’s your first time fishing in Edmonds, go with an experienced local captain who knows the water and the seasonal regulations. September was excellent for coho, and the action started almost immediately for us. Dress in layers because the early morning can be cold on the water, take seasickness medicine beforehand if you’re prone to it, and bring a cooler for your catch. Most importantly, listen to your captain and enjoy the experience.

Messin' Around Fishing Charter
this trip goes out of Port Orchard and requires about a half hour to get to fishing ground. The ride out can get a little bumpy due to vessel traffic. This makes it a little inappropriate for very young children but older children could do fine. Salmon take some work to pull in so keep that in mind but the Captain is there to help. This could be excellent for first timers.

Wish there weren’t so many restrictions on what fish you can keep. Captain Mathew follows all the rules we so were able to keep one out of the 7 that we caught. Even so it was a fun experience

My husband booked this trip for us last minute while we were on our honeymoon! We hadn't planned this in advance so I was a little concerned I wouldn't have the right gear, but thankfully Lamont's boat is very comfortable and smooth! There is an enclosed cabin that made traveling out for the Lingcod relaxing and comfortable. Lamont is very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. We had the best time, our freezer is full of fish and we will be back again. Thank you!! - Kate

Captain Justin was great and keep us moving around to find the fish to catch. Wonderful trip for my 2 teenage sons, we caught over 10 Salmon, being able to keep 7 of them. Highly recommend Captain Justin.
