Reel Saltwater Adventures
Fishing in Murrells Inlet in May is awesome if you want flounder inshore. If you want to deep sea fish itโs also a great time to but if you want any inshore fish like red drum and speckled trout Iโd suggest looking into a different month.

Black Diamond Inlet Backwater Fishing
Murrells is beautiful. Wasnโt there for meat. Simpler there for a peaceful fun trip.

If you are interested in near shore water fishing, talk to Perry's Bait & Tackle and figure out tide schedule ASAP. If you are looking for an open ocean experience, charters provide the easiest access to several artificial reeds within 5 miles or so of the inlet.

Make sure your sea legs are ready! If you havenโt been on the big water before, motion sickness medicine is a huge help for first timers. Your arms better be ready because hauling up a bunch of fish can wear you out quick!

We were fortunate with calm winds and 65-70 Degree temperatures. The Black Sea Bass were biting consistently but they weren't large enough to keep but there was plenty of action. We also caught a few other types but the Black Drum and Black Bass were biting the most.

I would definitely recommend Fishfinatic Guide Service. I think we hit a very fortunate time as we caught a LOT of fish. It is cold at this time of year and we probably caught well over the normal expectation.
