This afternoon I had another group from Indiana. I was forced to cancel and reschedule on these guys a couple weeks ago due to high winds, today’s weather was much more conducive for for a fun day on the lake. The fish did not disapoint either, allowing these guys to box their limit of walleye and the captain was able to catch the other half of his daily limit. Throw in a bonus yellow perch and several catfish to round out the box. Give me a call or shoot me a message if you’d like to take advantage of this insanely hot fishing we’ve been experiancing.

This morning, I hosted a group from Indiana, and I believe three of them were first-time anglers on the big lake. I deviated from my standard approach of running spoons today, instead opting to run worm harnesses behind bottom bouncers. We fished in 15 feet of water, using 35-foot leads on 2oz bouncers, with a speed of 1.8 sog; notably, color did not seem to be a factor. The weather was beautiful, and the fish were exceptionally active. This crew successfully caught their limit, and half of the captains. #takeakidfishing

Saturday morning I had a couple returning Father/Son duos out for an absolute perfect day of fishing. These boys got a workout today and are looking forward to come back perch fishing in the fall.
