Today I hosted Jaap and family for a redemption trip. Despite yesterday’s difficulties, we were able to box a boat limit of walleye weighing in at #70 pounds on the scale at Al Szuch Live Bait. Some days you eat the bear, and some days the bear eats you. Saturday had the bears feasting on me. Despite throwing everything but the kitchen table at them, I just couldn’t figure them out. I had Jason, his sister Tricia and her two boys Jackson and Chase whom were visiting from Kansas along for the ride. Luckily for me they were less concerned about what species we were catching and more about the actual catching. Well, between the sheephead, white perch, and catfish, we finished with two exhausted kids and eleven walleye and one yellow perch for the box.

Garrett and Jim came up from West Virginia this afternoon for a little Reel Therapy! The weather was a little off from what the weatherman was reporting, but we rolled with it and boxed a boat limit of Lake Erie walleye. We were trolling bottom bouncers with worm harnesses in 10’ of water at 1.8sog. Big shout out to Al Szuch Live Bait for staying open to ensure my guests fish were cleaned this evening.
