Trip Summary

The early morning bite was almost non-existent, but the fish turned on (unexpectedly) about noon. Surface water temperature was 87-88 degrees and all fish were taken at 16-22 foot depths over deeper bottoms.

A nice cool day on Chickamauga for a change. Heavy overcast all day, but we didn't get rained on. A mixed species bag was taken power trolling crankbaits and jigs at 15-18 feet in 20-30 FOW.

The three biggest crappie today were just short of the TARP qualifying length of 14 inches. Other species taken by pushing and pulling crankbaits included white and yellow bass. Additionally, three big largemouths were hooked and lost after a nice show of aerial acrobatics.
