Trip Summary
After two weeks off the water preparing for and cleaning up after Hurricane Irma, Deep Color finally got back at it. With a Mom and her two young boys on board, we ran out 8.5 miles off the beach and looked for some Red and Gag Grouper, but only found a couple of shorts. The Key West (White) Grunts saved the day in providing at least some tasty smaller fillets. We did get some Spanish Mackerel and other fish but, the bite was tough and nothing came easy. Definately, Irma affected our normal routine, leaving us dirty water and crazy strong tides to deal with. Not our best day of fishing, but had Dolphins chasing our boat and was reminded that God is still in control, and to be grateful. Looking forward to our next trips and more normal conditions.
