Trip Summary

All catch and release on a short afternoon trip today, so no group fish pictures. Here are a few highlights. The water temperature has fallen to 58 and the lake is down over 5 feet from summer pool. Five species were taken in all.

A multi-strategy approach (pushing and pulling jigs and crankbaits, tightlining minnows) resulted in a mix of crappie , spotted bass, largemouth bass, white bass, yellow bass, and bluegill today. Total fish count today was well over 40.

We worked hard to put 17 crappie onboard today, but only 8 were keepers. Also caught a few bass, and lost a catfish at net. All fish were caught tightlining live minnows over brushpiles in 16-24 FOW. Pushing and pulling jigs and crankbaits wasn't successful as the fish weren't roaming, but hanging tight to structure.
