Tuna time !
January 06, 2026 Cabo San Lucas 2 photos

Trip Summary

Today we headed out toward the Cabo San Lucas Lighthouse, about 9 miles offshore, where we found our first school of tuna. Tuna fishing today was done using the kite (papalote) with flying fish, which produced great results. We followed the schools out to around 12 miles, then continued working more schools all the way out to 17–20 miles offshore. We wrapped up the day around 4:00 pm, returning to Cabo San Lucas with six solid tuna, and we also hooked one marlin that was successfully released. Another great day on the water with our friends Nick and Lacey, who have now fished with us four times. Thank you for choosing us again—it’s always a pleasure to fish together. Let’s go fishing! ??
