Trip Summary
The water temp has been coldest I've seen in a few years. The inshore fishery was almost non existent for a couple days. Luckily as soon as the cold weather turned, the mangrove, lane snappers, and sharks slowly starting coming back.
On the days with decent conditions and adventurous guests, we ventured to a bit deeper reefs looking for a little warmer water temps. We found some nice red grouper (season closed till May) and a verity of quality snappers.
Beyond the reef has been decent. Not exactly all the designer fish, but plenty of action to had be had. Decent numbers of of cero, Spanish, and king mackerels, some cudas, and bonita have been caught. I heard of a handful of sailfish being caught, but was not luckily to hook or see any myself.
