They move like lightning — just a flash… and your bait is gone. ⚡? Too many hooks? They won’t touch it. Too little? They’ll cut it in half and disappear. That’s Wahoo fishing. After those razor-sharp strikes, this beautiful bull dorado finally committed. A solid 45–50 pounds — true tournament-class fish. ?? Catch of the day… and yes, perfect for fresh fish tacos later. Great day adapting to changing conditions on the water. The colder water has shifted the fishing grounds, so we adjusted our strategy using live bait and ballyhoo, which worked well. We landed two nice dorado and later hooked a striped marlin that gave us a long, hard fight. The marlin was tail-wrapped, making it extremely difficult to recover. Although the marlin did not survive, the meat was donated and nothing was wasted. Our friends Adán and Alfredo chose to honor the catch with a mount to remember this special day, which also celebrated Alfredo’s birthday. Another memorable day on the water, adapting to the ocean and enjoying great fishing with friends.

Beautiful days on the water lately, landing great dorado and releasing striped marlin. Our friend Todd joined us for the third time, and he was thrilled to accomplish his goal of catching a quality mahi-mahi — perfect for dinner and a trophy memory. We also released a striped marlin, completing the mission and making it another successful day of fishing. We’ve been running trips every single day.
