Trip Summary

Well shoot… the bass didn’t stand a chance today! Captain Spencer Clark, better known around these parts as “The Hillbilly Hulk” of Breaking Bass Guide Service, took a momma and her two boys all the way from the great state of Mississippi out on Table Rock Lake this afternoon… and let’s just say them fish got whooped! These folks stayed busy reelin’ all afternoon and ended up puttin 25+ bass in the boat! The big show stopper was a 5.03 lb smallmouth hog, along with another chunky 3½ pound smallmouth that tried its best to get away but didn’t have the horsepower. Well I took a crew of them northerners out on Table Rock Lake and gave ‘em a proper Ozark welcome—bass fishin’ and some good ol’ hillbilly swordfish slayin’! Them kids didn’t know what hit ‘em… they was yankin’ in some chunky bass and then got to wrasslin’ with some absolute TANK paddlefish. I’m tellin’ ya, when one of them big ol’ spoonbill takes off, it ain’t fishin’ no more—it’s a full-blown rodeo! Rod bent over, drag screamin’, arms shakin’… pure redneck adrenaline right there! Best 4 hours fishing I’ve ever seen! We was runnin’ nothin’ but Trika rods and reels all day, and they flat out got the job done. Them Ti2000 spinning reels? Shoot, they handled them giants like a pit bull on a pork chop—smooth as butter but tough as nails. This here trip was all about learnin’—workin’ on castin’ and chunkin’ crankbaits the right way. That young man soaked it up like a sponge, and I’m tellin’ ya… his castin’ got a WHOLE lot better before we called it a day! We was out there chunkin’ and windin’ with them Trika rods and reels, and lemme tell ya—they put in WORK. Every fish we wrangled up come off that setup!
