Trip Summary

High, gusty winds kept us off the main lake today, but we boated 19 crappie (11 keepers) fishing sheltered creeks. Lots of fish marked, but turbid waters from the rains two days earlier seemed to dampen the bite.b

Despite the wind, we caught some nice crappie today and kept the ten largest. All fish were taken pulling and pushing jigs and crankbaits at 12-15 foot depths. The largest crappie were just shy of 14 inches.
