Trip Summary
Today we started the day with very cloudy skies, some rain, and a southeasterly wind with gusts of up to 30 knots. Because of this, we had to fish in the channels and along the coast with plenty of trees, to be sheltered from the wind.
We drift-fished from the bank where the wind was coming from. We crossed the channel and, upon reaching the opposite bank, repeated the process.
We fished with floating and mid-water lines. We used size 10 hooks and eels and small live fish called shad as bait.
Several catfish took the eel bait very well. Using small fish as bait, we managed to land two golden dorado and a tararira (similar to a wolffish). Once the fishing day was over, with clouds on the horizon and the rain replaced by sunshine, we began our return to port, happy to have enjoyed a beautiful day of fishing. Until next time!
