March Fishing Report โ€“ Fish Biting Stron

March 18, 2026 Murrells Inlet 21 photos

Trip Summary

Spring fishing is officially underway here in Murrells Inlet, and March has been delivering consistent action in the creeks, flats, and nearshore waters. The Redfish bite has been the highlight, with solid numbers of slot fish coming on live and cut bait along oyster beds and grass lines. Weโ€™re also seeing Black Drum and Sheepshead showing up in great numbers, especially around docks and structure. On the warmer days, Speckled Trout are starting to turn on, and as water temps continue to rise, the bite is only getting better heading into April. Nearshore trips have had opportunities to hook into Sharks, Bluefish, and early Spanish Mackerel, depending on conditions โ€” giving anglers a fun mix of action. Whether youโ€™re an experienced angler or bringing the family out for the first time, this is one of the best times of year to get on the water before the summer crowds arrive. If youโ€™re thinking about booking a trip, now is the time โ€” the spring bite is only getting stronger from here.
