Yesterday in had father and son out for a 4hr afternoon trip. We had some windy comditions but the fish still bit good. They both caught good numbers and quality fish mixed in as well. They lake is very low right now and its making it hard to get around in some areas when its been a little windy and can make it a little challenging. The fish are still around and biting on artificially baits such as zara spooks plastic worms chatterbaits spinnerbaits and swimjigs.

5/10/26 Todays trip was one of those days where we caught bass till we couldn’t catch any more, we left em biting catching em on just about everything from chatterbaits spinnerbaits plastic worms and topwater. The bluegill are bedding all over the lake and the bass are terrorizing them. May and June are probably my 2 favorite months to fish Lake Okeechobeeas the bass are schooled up and feeding heavily! The weather is heating up and so is the fishing! I have plenty of open dates coming up.

5/2/27 This past week we had some great weather light winds and sunshine, and the bass on Lake Okeechobee were hungry! Customers averaged 25 to 30 bass a day with some nice fish up to 8lbs. We have been catching them all on artificial baits around the bluegill beds. The month of May and June should be some great fishing so book your trip and come down and experience some of this outstanding bass fishing! Capt. Rich

4/26/26 Hey everybody! The bass fishing is still hot! The past couple of days the bite has been the strongest in the morning but we still caught fish through out the day all on artificial baits. Starting to see bluegill on the beds and the bass are feeding on them. The weather should start to be more consistent as we get into May.

4/22/26 Capt Rich here. Last weekend we finally had a break in the strong winds and was able to get out. The fishing was outstanding! Customers caught good numbers of bass on artificial baits. The bluegill spawn has begun and should really be in full swing by the full moon. This is one of my favorite times of the year to fish for bass around the bluegill beds as they’re feeding on them. We have a little wind the past couple of days which has kept us close to the dock but conditions are goin to improve for the weekend.

The past week winds have been blowin! We Finally got a day to get out yesterday on Lake okeechobee as we had a small window of calm weather. My customers caught plenty of bass all on artificial baits, and the window shut on us in time for us to go in for the day. Today the winds still a blowin so we stayed in and around the smaller lakes and canal systems where we could get out of the wind. Plenty of bass and some clown knife fish are still biting good. We are just starting to see a few peacock bass starting to show back up after one of our coldest winters south Florida has seen in 15 years. Tomorrow and Saturday I will be fishing a tournament on Okeechobee. Looks like we’ll have another small window of calmer winds the beginning of the week and forecasts are calling for 15 to 35 mph winds so we will be back on the smaller lakes and canals to hide from the winds.
