Trip Summary

Spring is officially here in San Jose del Cabo, and the Marlin are definitely invited to the party! Yesterday, we had an incredible day on the water aboard the Marlin Hunter V. We welcomed a father and his two sons for a day of family adventure they won't soon forget. The highlight of the day was seeing the youngest member of the crew—only 11 years old—handle the rod like a pro. It’s always a privilege to help the next generation of anglers land their first big game fish. We went 3 for 3 on Striped Marlins. Following our commitment to sustainability and local regulations, we successfully released one healthy Marlin to keep the population strong. We kept two others, ensuring the family went home with plenty of stories and fresh catch. The Sea of Cortez was beautiful, and our dual 200HP engines got us to the bite quickly and comfortably. Conditions are looking great for the rest of the week! The bite is steady right now. If you're planning a family trip, this is the perfect time to get the kids involved in some high-action sportfishing.

What a fantastic day on the water aboard the Marlin Hunter V! The bite in San José del Cabo is currently very active, providing our latest group of anglers with non-stop action and plenty of smiles. We focused our efforts on finding the right temperature breaks, and it paid off. We successfully landed several vibrant Dorado (Mahi-Mahi), which put up an incredible fight. We also encountered a healthy run of Sierra Mackerel and some hard-pulling Bonita, keeping the reels screaming throughout the morning. Today’s 6-hour private trip on the Marlin Hunter V was one for the books. Our group of experienced anglers reeled in a solid 20lb Dorado and spent 40 heart-pumping minutes fighting a stubborn Tuna that ultimately got away. In fishing, the fight is half the fun! Our clients left the boat satisfied and ready for their next San Jose del Cabo adventure.

The bite is heating up in San José del Cabo! We had the pleasure of hosting two experienced anglers today for a 6-hour private charter aboard the Marlin Hunter V. We headed out early to the local banks, and it didn't take long for the reels to start singing. After a great battle and some expert rod work from our guests, we successfully boated a beautiful 70lb Yellowfin Tuna. The fish put up a legendary fight, but the crew and the anglers handled it perfectly. The water conditions were excellent, and the electronics on the Marlin Hunter V helped us stay right on top of the school. It was a fantastic day on the water with high-quality fish to show for it.
