Trip Summary

Walleye opener is pretty much a holiday here in MN, it marks the start of another fishing season and the tradition of chasing our prized state fish, the Walleye. Like most years, we were hit with weather challenges. This year, WIND, unmanageable wind that made it impossible to have boat control. If you were tough enough to brave the wind, the walleyes were willing to bite. Got this beauty fishing out in the wind and waves.

I don't know how the walleye bite can get any better! A couple of young hammers fished with me the other day and it was an absolute smash fest. Power fishing with Rapala Rippin' Raps put over 50 walleyes in the boat! Do NOT miss out on this bite, I expect it to last for several more weeks, but there's only so many dates available.
