SHARP TOOTH SURPRISE IN SHALLOW WATER ?

April 08, 2026 Key Biscayne 1 photo

Trip Summary

Nice spring conditions with light wind, steady current, and a mix of clean and slightly stained water pushing through the structure and flats edges. Plenty of bait around and overall good visibility made for easy reading of the water all day. We ran into a small bull shark that still showed plenty of attitude for its size. Quick surprise bite, strong little runs, and a fun moment boatside before a safe release. Even the smaller ones remind you there’s always predators moving through the area. Outside of that, the water stayed active with bait movement and steady life around the edges, keeping things interesting throughout the trip. Simple day on the water with a cool unexpected encounter and solid spring conditions offshore.
