Trip Summary

The wind finally moderated and the Gulf was calmer today. Nice family group from Indiana caught a variety of fish including Grouper, Snapper, Triggerfish, Amberjack, Mangrove Snapper, Mingo Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and Bonita. Nice morning trip.

Our friends from Georgia had a good catch of Red Snapper, Red Grouper, Nice Mingo Snapper, Almoco Jack and a bonus trolling on the way back in. Captured a nice Sailfish on the lure. Can't tell you the lure color. Super secret.

The Gulf of America has been a Jeckyll and Hyde the last few days. Rough Monday, calm yesterday, elevated again today. Had a 12 passenger crew that survived a morning 6 hour trip bringing in some really nice Mangrove Snappers, Red Snapper, Red Grouper, Mingo Snapper, and Almaco Jack. Way to stick with it friends. 6/17/26.

Much calmer seas today

After yesterday's endurance test, the seas were back calm. Our crew enjoyed a mild morning 5 hour trip with the cloud cover keeping things cool. Started out with a little trolling catching 2 Spanish Mackerel then switched to some near shore bottom fishing and caught some lunch, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper to cook at the restaurant. 6/16/26.
