We had a very strong cold front come through last week with high winds, choppy water and very cold temperatures. I had to cancel two trips for safety and had a client cancel two trips after they decide not even to make the trip from GA. With so much time on my Hans it got me in trouble. I bought a brand new 2017 Skeeter 23ft Bay boat. I have been breaking the engine in the last two days and I really love this boat. The boat has comfortable padded seating for up to 6 people and rides like a dream. I did fish very briefly and caught a few mackerel and bluefish when the tide was moving but tides are very week right now so action is a little slow. I am expecting things to really pick up after things warm up a bit. There is a ton of bait around and only a matter of time before there predators show up. I also ran the crab buoys and saw some of the biggest triple tail tail of the season. They to wouldn't look at anything I threw there way but again the tide was slack.
