Slow Start, Then 12 Fish on Five Lines

We were trolling, looking for pelagic species, and headed 38 miles out from the bay. Nothing was biting, so we switched to live bait for a couple of hours; it was very quiet. We radioed other anglers to ask how the bite was, and it was slow for everyone. Finally, a sailfish took the bait and put up a great fight.

It was a very slow morning when we started our fishing day; we decided to troll and caught Spanish mackerel, small albacore, and blue runners. We switched methods and tried bottom fishing, and four jack crevalle took the bait.

We set out on a new adventure in search of pelagic species, heading 35 miles out into deep water. We found blue water currents and began trolling; we hooked our first sailfish, which fought for about 30 minutes. We continued trolling and hooked a second sailfish. Then, seeing yellowfin tuna breaching, we decided to switch tactics: we flew a kite with live bait and managed to hook three yellowfin tuna. We switched methods again to target marlin or Cubera snapper, landing two large Cuberas weighing around 30 kilos each. Although we didn't hook any marlin, it was a fantastic day of fishing.
