Trip Summary

I agreed to let John move his date from Tuesday to Friday and all worked out well as they experienced a good bite 8 miles SW of the Golden Gate. They hooked over 10 fish landing 6 to 20+ lbs in flat calm conditions. John had the big fish right up to the end when son Jason hooked and landed his slug while reeling in his rig to check his bait! Season coming to a close but still great fishing in what has been a super year for salmon out of San Francisco.

We ventured out into San Francisco Bay looking for targeted species with very poor tides and a bad weather forecast. Actually, the weather cooperated was a very nice day. The fishing was very slow, but that’s the way it goes. Enjoy the group and we’ll get them next time.

Fun fishing with Richard Novak and friends, Toni, Colin and Jennifer, the birthday girl. picked up live in the city made several drifts for halibut with no success. We decided to go outside the Golden Gate Bridge rockcod. Motored up to Drake Bay and had great fishing for limits of Linard and assorted rockcod. All you wanted in fantastic weather. fun fishing with the group and a happy birthday to Jennifer .
