Trip Summary
Captain Rich fishing out of Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda Florida reported a steady bite this week on Charlotte Harbor . We have had to adjust a lot this week to stay on the bite as super low morning tides and cold windy conditions have been the pattern. This is a great time of year to consider a afternoon charter to take advantage of the higher incoming tides and warming sun. One marked change in the fishing this week has been the higher numbers and larger size of the Sea Trout and Sheepshead that have moved up. A couple trips this week boating 50-100 trout.
Mike and Joe caught a limit of Sea Trout today with a steady pace that kept the rods bent. A few Reds and jumbo sheep’s rounded out a great Afternoon. We had plenty of bites to go around with many keepers going back to swim another day. Back at it again tomorrow with the afternoon half day boat.
