Redfish
Trip Summary
Trip Summary
We ran another trip on Thursday and even though it was cold and windy, we caught 22 reds, kept 10, and left them biting. Looking at the extended weather forecast, I predict the winter redfish bite will stay strong as we enter Spring next week. The bait of choice right now is live Cocahoes under a cork, with a 3' leader. The actual bite itself is extremely slow, so we're counting to 10 before reeling in once the cork sinks. The reds are schooled up and it doesn't take long for the cork to start moving once it hits the water. Once they eat though, and the hook is set, the drag starts going!
