Trip Summary
Had a great full day trip with client Richard Barrish on Tuesday. We started out the morning with some lady fish action and then headed over to another spot and caught a nice trout and snook right off the bat. Not too long into the trip we were able to sight cast 2 redfish up to 25" using artifical jerk baits. Most of the bank lines right now are easily accessible due to the high water levels in all of the lagoons. The key has been finding the clean water in order to spot the fish. After catching a few more redfish, and another 20" seatrout, we ended the day by finding a small honey hole filled with juvenile tarpon rolling like crazy. Richard was 1 for 2 on tarpon with a lot more strikes and misses. The tarpon was the only thing we were not able to get the picture of due to the fact that it JUMPED OUT of the net! But a catch it was none the less. All in all, Richard caught 4 redfish, 2 trout, 1 snook, 1 tarpon, and 3 ladyfish! Minus the lady fish, Richard managed to catch what we call a grand slam in the fishing world, not an easy thing to do most days. Congrats Richard!
