A week later from El Cardonal tourney, we set up to travel in one of our fleet boat Eclipse 91 across the Sea of Cortez to Topolobampo, Sinaloa. Hanna Shayota from San Diego CA, The Peraltas, father and son from Cabo, both of them Captains and one of the best down in Cabo San Lucas, David Ceseña, Miguel Sandez crew of Eclipse 91 and myself. This is a 2 day tournament, that pays out per day, and overall. On our first day, we were not sharp, we had 10 marlin bites and we lost them all. So we were a little dissapointed as we didnt presented anything to weight station on Day 1. But on Day 2 we were on it, 6-6 on Striped Marlin and 1-1 on Sailfish. We were able to come in with 2 qualifying fish, giving us 1st and 2nd place on Day 2, with a total earning of $290,000 pesos. Great experience to cross the Sea of Cortez, there is so much life out there that is incredible.
