Trip Summary
It is mid-summer here in the Tampa Bay area, and the fishing remains excellent. Last year’s Red Tide bloom affected this year’s seasons for snook, trout and redfish, so we are still practicing catch and release. There are still plenty on the flats, and we have released some of the biggest snook we have ever seen! Tarpon season is winding down, but the permit and cobia are pretty eager to take a bait on our near-shore reefs. Shark fishing has been productive on our evening trips and should remain good for the next few months. Whether we are hand-lining goliath grouper, pulling big red grouper off the bottom or testing our light gear on big snook, we promise to show you a good time.
