Trip Summary
We went out for a half day fishing. Due to the low tide we had some difficulties going out as it was a bite shallow. Once outside the lagoon we headed to the south. We saw a school of fish far away, unfortunately we were not able to catch it as it was going fast. We had to look for another one. Later in the day we found another school of bonito but no chance. Later on we saw a big school coming in our direction. We changed some lures putting smaller once to increase our chance of catching bonito. When we entered the school we hooked 6 bonito. While fighting the bonitoes a big tuna jumped on one of them. The hook was set. After 1hr of fight on small line the 160 pounds yelowfin was behind the boat. We managed to lift it up with big precaution. Finally we caught it. We were back at 2p.m with a big tuna and 5 bonitoes.
