The Catch

February 1, 2016~ A great day for winter Chinook salmon fishing.  December until March we have opportunities for feeder chinooks ( 8-20lb), halibut, pacific cod, sable fish, crab and prawns.  We mostly targeted chinooks, releasing 6 and keeping 2, with a couple long line releases (aka. Lost!), making for an average winter day ....

Lots of different cod (lingcod and rock fish) were caught but were released due to theses species being closed for spawning at this time of year.

A drop of prawn traps also produced a nice catch of spot prawns!!
