Trip Summary

Romp in the Swamp was more like stomp in the swamp. Huge 34” redfish 1st fish in the am but then skunk aped on Snook and trout. Landed 8 reds with 6 over 30” and jumped a Tarpon for s few minutes. Great day on the water with Maureen Reid Wagner but damn I hate to lose. We thought the biggest Red Calcutta was ours and then a late 34.5” entry ended that.

This guy caught this 33” snook on a 5” white jerk bait. Maybe I should start throwing lures again? Bait was tough until late in the day but then the tide turned and reds and trout joined the ice box. Great job fellas!

Robert took me up on my special $475 stuck at home rate for Floridians. Had a great weather day on Saturday out of Chokoloskee Island Park with a limit of reds and a nice 31” snook. Nelson booked on Sunday with his family and we had a 10 lb triple tail, 1 slot snook, 1 slot red plus snapper and whiting. The Everglades is Beautiful this time of year and it doesn’t care that the world is shut down! No deposits required due to the whimsical whatever’s of our government! Tight Lines!!!
