Trip Summary
Trip Summary
What comes to the fall season, We start catching a lot more keeper grouper on 1/2 day charters. Closer to shore in 55 feet of water. We have also been catching big Amberjack to 40 lbs, small king mackerel and big spanish mackerel as well as a couple cobia, some sharks and barracuda. The mangrive snapper bite alomg with the lane and vermillion snapper bite has slowed recently but usually pics up with the moon phases and more targetted areas.
This is a great time to fish a 3/4 or full day as well. Yesterday, 10/17/19, we caught a pile of keepwr grouper and had to throw 2 keepers back as we were over our limit for 2 red grouper per person with a full boat of six. We came in with 12 red grouper, a barracuda and a released ambjack on this 8 hour trip. Only a vouple of lane snapper suprisingly. But there was lots of action on the surface as well as the bottom.
