Trip Summary

Trolling early in the morning around sunrise produced a mahi and two blackfin tuna in around 200' of water. Later that morning when the bite was off we hit some wrecks than caught and released as many amberjacks as we wanted to. Unfortunately I cleaned the fish before thinking to snap a few picks but did take a snap of a big sheepshead eating barnacles in my boat slip.

Plenty of action on some of everyone's favorites out there. Small schools of mahi move close to the reef this time of year and sailfish as well. We target them with live baits and light tackle for a great feel and a lot of fun!

As the summer comes to an end the fishing starts to transition into the fall migration and we see more mahi, tuna, and sailfish move south and feed aggressively orf the reef as the water cools down. The bottom fishing for snapper has been great this month and should continue through October.
