Trip Summary

Started out with a bomber bonito and a nice wahoo right before and after sunrise. Than got a black grouper (released), amberjack, and mangrove snapper and a shark on wrecks all using light tackle. Than we shifted gears to chumming the reef and hooked into some yellowtail snapper, African pompano, bonito, and blue runner. The guys were all smiles. Everyone wants a wahoo but only the early birds get the worm!

As the summer comes to an end the fishing starts to transition into the fall migration and we see more mahi, tuna, and sailfish move south and feed aggressively orf the reef as the water cools down. The bottom fishing for snapper has been great this month and should continue through October.
