Trip Summary

We left West Harbor and headed East to fish the deeper water East of KI. Brandon, and his son Payton and friend Tim went on an 20 mile eastward ride out of West Harbor this morning. We set our TruTrip 50s 55 back with large Badmo Arrowhead spoon on one side and worm burner on the other. The Badmo spoon popped twice before I got my dipseys set. Dipseys were 83 back on a 2 setting. We had a ticket and and only one rod working. We slowly got the down rods back in and we began to set our TruTrip 40s 80 back with the 2.5 BadMo Arrowhead spoons. We had steady action the entire time. We had one slow period on the boards. Come to find out, we had 5 fish swimming along keeping the boards in line. When it came time for Homer, every rod caught a fish in the clean up. Great day on the water.

Li and her crew did a great job filling the cooler using Off Shore Tackle Company planner boards and Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s. Reef Runner Tackle Company Reef Stalker Jr and Deep Lil Rippers 65 back 2 Oz. Flicker Minnow 11s 45 back unassisted. Steven arranged a Lake Erie Walleye Charter experience for his son's 13th birthday. We had an awesome morning on the water. We had to be back to the dock early for them to hit the road. I had to reschedule due to yesterday's blow. We had the Off Shore Tackle Company boards going back as soon as the 3rd rod was is, we took a quick 3 and then a lull. We worked a mile long stretch between the islands. Speed was 1.8 mph leads were scattered but 80 to100 seemed the best. We were all reelers today. Sutton had plan oh so close FO. Tom and Kent were back for day 2 with their Off Shore Tackle Company planner board hands on training. We had to delay for most of the day due to high winds. We left West Harbor and fished West of KI. Today we added Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s into to the mix with BADMO LURES Arrowhead spoons. 30 and 40 back on the TruTrips. Bandits were active in settings from 30 to 115. Speed was 2.0 mph. Tom and Kent were busy setting lines and retrieving boards as they went back. #bravethewaves #bigfishtough #lakeeriewalleye #offshoretackle
