Trip Summary

We had flat calm conditions but trolling was a bust so we bottom fished the second half of the day and got a african pompano and mutton snapper on live baits and then went deep for vermillions and yelloweye even scored two nice porgy in the mix.

Plenty of action on some of everyone's favorites out there. Small schools of mahi move close to the reef this time of year and sailfish as well. We target them with live baits and light tackle for a great feel and a lot of fun!

As the summer comes to an end the fishing starts to transition into the fall migration and we see more mahi, tuna, and sailfish move south and feed aggressively orf the reef as the water cools down. The bottom fishing for snapper has been great this month and should continue through October.
