Trip Summary
We went out for a half day trip for the first time this season since march due to the covid. We leave the lagoon at 7.30... about 30 minutes out we found a school of bonito and hooked 3 at first time. Caught all of them. The fish dived so we shifted to another school of bonito...no success. While heading to the south we had a strike on the central rigger lure. After 30 minutes of fight the marlin was in. We put back the lures and continued fishing. We then caught some more bonitoes...fight against a 20 pounds yellowfin but lost it. At about 11 a.m we had another strike of marlin on the short corner lure, a blue marlin came from nowhere and attacked the lure twice. The reel started to scream.....we quickly managed to take the other lines in. The marlin made a run of 400 meters then the hook came off. On the way back we caught some more bonitoes and were back with a marlin and 8 bonitoes
