The Buoy 10 Fall Chinook have arrived in good numbers with good catches for the in the Ocean and the river. The Chinook are staging at the mouth and ocean and entering the river daily. I am keeping my calender open on the closed days for ocean opportunities. Fish On !!

Ocean opens for hatchery Coho & Fall Chinook. The run is fair to good with a smaller limit on Chinook. The Buoy 10 fishery is projected to be 554,000, But this year we will be restricted to hatchery fish only. The Coho return is projected to be strong with 595,300 with a slight increase from last year too. Please note the river will be closed for all Salmon fishing on the 21st thru the 24th and the 27th and 28th. Ill be fishing Ocean and summer Chinook June 27th till July 31. This year the return predictions are in excess of 500,000 Coho returning to the Columbia River. The first run has been good but still waiting for the strong second run of these world class fish to show in October. These fish range from 8 to 15 lbs and can put up a battle for all anglers.
